The FIM Gold and Silver Series of cables
are the results of a joint research and development program conducted by
Winston MA, President of First Impression Music, Inc., and Paul Weitzel,
President of Tube Research Labs. The products have been manufactured and
marketed by FIM since November 1999.
In May 2002, an agreement was signed which
handed over the existing inventory and the exclusive ownership of the designs
of Gold and Silver Series of cables to Paul Weitzel, in conjunction with
Musical Surroundings, Inc., of Berkeley, California. The new company of Paul
Weitzel and Musical Surroundings, Inc. is named Cable Research Labs. CRL will
manufacture and market the existing designs, as well as further refine their
performance, and introduce new designs. CRL can be contacted at (510) 420

by FIM in the past will now be serviced by CRL.
FIM fully supports this change and will
encourage customers to continue using these products. On the other hand, FIM
will introduce some new series of cables later on this year. Details will be
announced in due course.
